Diablo's EZReporter software is a flexible, advanced analysis and reporting solution for any instrument that can be controlled by the Agilent Technologies GC/LC ChemStation, EZChrom Elite/SI, or Cerity Chemical data system.

EZReporter 2.0

December 16th, 2011: EZReporter 2.0.1.1 (Service Release 1) Released:  See the Release Notes for complete  information on this release.  This is a free upgrade for licensed installations of EZReporter 1.0.  In addition to bug fixes and numerous enhancements, a few of the significant new features added in Version 2.0 include:

Base Module / Standard Edition

• EZChrom Connector Enhancements:  The EZChrom "connector" program now automatically detects the delimiter character (tab or comma) used by EZChrom when it writes the external-standard (.ESD) text files.
  
• New Quick Start Start Guide:  Ships with the new quick start guide for use with the Agilent Technologies ChemStation software
  

Natural Gas Analysis Module

• New ISO Calculations and Results:  Adds support for the ISO 6976 Standard with corresponding physical property data sources and default configuration files.
  
• Natural Gas Liquids - Extended (C6+) Fraction Calculations and Reports:  Adds support for GPA 2186-type natural gas liquids (NGL), extended (C6+) fraction reporting.  Includes separate/combined reporting of the extended fraction and correction of the extended fraction raw amounts using a "bridge" correction factor.
  
• Support for the GPA 2177-03 Standard:  Adds support for the GPA 2177-03 Standard with raw component amounts calibrated in liquid volume%.
  
• New Physical Property Data Sources:  Adds several new physical property data sources including GPA TP-17 (1998 revision). ISO 6976 at 15/15 DegC and at 25/20 Deg C.
  
• Support for Raw Component Amounts in Weight% and Liquid Volume%:  For NGL applications you can calibrate the GC method in Weight% instead of Mole%.  EZReporter will automatically convert the raw Weight% amounts from the data system to Mole% and Liquid Volume%.
  
  Similarly, for GPA 2177-03 applications, EZReporter will automatically convert raw Liquid Volume% amounts to normalized Mole% and Weight%.

Results Database Module

• New Results added to Database:  The new NGL - Extended Fraction results are now saved in the Results Database.

EZReporter Editions

The EZReporter software includes a base reporting module and two optional modules: a Natural Gas Analysis (NGA) calculation and reporting module and a Results Database module. These modules are combined in several different “Editions” of the EZReporter software.

The Base Module is required for all Editions of the software. You can also license and activate individual Modules at a later time if your needs change. The features included in each module are summarized below.

The Base Software Module

The Base software module can be licensed by itself or you can add one or both of the optional modules. The Base module can process calibrated peak results automatically from the Agilent Technologies ChemStation, EZChrom, and Cerity data systems.  It allows for flexible reporting and exporting, parameter alarms, and history/trend plotting among other capabilities.  For a full list of the features included in the Base module, see Diablo EZReporter - Base Reporting Module.

The Optional Natural Gas Analysis Module

The optional Natural Gas Analysis (NGA) module is designed to perform Natural Gas/ Refinery Gas heating value and related calculations. The Optional Results Database Module

The optional Results Database module allows you to capture results and save them in a local SQLite database. Results in the database can be searched by sample name and date range and can be batch re-processed for printing, exporting or trend plotting.  For a full list of the features included in the Results Database module, see Diablo EZReporter - Results Database Module.

System Requirements

The software is designed for operation under the Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional, and Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) operating systems.

Automated processing of results requires the Agilent Technologies GC or LC ChemStation (legacy or OpenLab versions), Cerity data system (Version 4.0.5 or Version 4.0.7),  EZChrom Elite or EZChrom SI data systems (legacy or OpenLab versions). 

Important Notice for Diablo BTU Calculator Users

The EZReporter Natural Gas Analysis (NGA) Edition is a direct replacement for the Diablo BTU Calculator software.  Existing licenses of the BTU Calculator can upgraded to either the EZReporter NGA Edition or the Standard Edition (if you don't need NGA calculations and reporting).  Pricing for these two upgrade options is listed below.  Note:  if you upgrade to the EZReporter software you will need to deactivate the BTU Calculator software license.

The current version of the BTU Calculator will remain available for download for customers who want to access this version of the software (version 3.0.26).  However, there will be no further development directed to the BTU Calculator software.

Licensing

This software is distributed as a fully functional 30-day trial application. The trial version has all of the features of the registered version, but you will be reminded that you are running the trial version with a "nag" screen each time you start the application. At the end of the 30-day evaluation period the application will no longer start unless you purchase a license or request a trial extension from Diablo Analytical.  After purchasing a license, you will be provided with an unlock code that converts the trial copy of the software to a fully-licensed copy.  See the Diablo Software License Guide for more information.
